Example 1

Add a guest in one sentence

Tell Claude who to add and which events to invite them to. Claude collects the right details, calls the guest-list tool, and confirms the new entry in your dashboard.

What you type in Claude

“Add Priya Sharma to my guest list — bride's side, +91 98765 43210, invite to mehndi and reception.”

Claude detects wedding-planning intent and calls the add_guests tool with name, side, phone, and event invitations.
You see a brief preview of what will be added before it commits.
The new guest appears immediately on the Guests page in your Anvaya dashboard.

Example 2

Compare vendors side by side

Ask Claude to weigh quotes against each other. It opens an in-chat side-by-side comparison with package details, quotes, and deposit terms.

What you type in Claude

“Compare my three photographers — which one is the best value for the ceremony and reception?”

Claude calls compare_vendors scoped to your photography category.
A formatted comparison appears in the chat: package, quote, deposit, included services, and your private notes.
Claude explains the tradeoffs in plain language so you can decide quickly.

Example 3

Draft a vendor follow-up — preview before sending

Claude drafts the email and renders the preview. Nothing leaves your account until you confirm — every outbound action is two-step by design.

What you type in Claude

“Draft a follow-up email to my photographer asking when they'll send the final contract.”

Claude calls preview_email_broadcast with the drafted message.
You see the rendered email exactly as your vendor will receive it — subject, body, sender.
The send only fires after you confirm in the preview. You can edit, regenerate, or cancel.

How to connect Anvaya to Claude

A one-time setup. After you connect, you can start any conversation in Claude with a wedding-planning question and Anvaya answers automatically.

Open Claude.ai and add a custom connector
In Claude.ai, go to Settings → Connectors → Add custom connector. (Available on Claude Pro, Team, and Enterprise plans.)

Paste the Anvaya MCP server URL
Enter https://mcp.anvaya.love as the connector URL and click Connect.

Sign in with Anvaya
You'll be redirected to anvaya.love to authorize Claude. Sign in with your Anvaya account, review the requested scopes, and approve. You'll return to Claude automatically.

Try one of the examples on this page. Claude detects wedding-planning intent automatically — you don't have to mention "Anvaya" by name.

Privacy & permissions

Anvaya is your data — Claude is a window into it. We hold the line on what Claude can and cannot do.

OAuth 2.1 with PKCE

Standard authorization flow. Your Anvaya password is never shared with Claude. Tokens are short-lived and rotated automatically.

Scoped to your wedding

Each token carries your user ID, wedding ID, and role. Claude cannot reach other accounts, other weddings, or non-wedding data.

Every action audited

Each tool call is logged on your dashboard activity feed — what, when, and by whom. You always have a paper trail.

Confirmations required for writes

Sending broadcasts, drafting reminders, or deleting records all require an explicit confirm step. Claude never sends or deletes silently.

Common questions

Does Claude see all of my guest data?+

Only when you ask it to. Each tool call is scoped to the wedding you authorized when you connected. Claude cannot read other weddings, other users, or anything else on your Anvaya account.

Can Claude send emails or texts on my behalf without me confirming?+

No. Every outbound messaging tool — broadcasts, reminders, vendor follow-ups — returns a preview first. Sending requires a separate confirmation step from you.

What if Claude does something I didn't intend?+

Every change Claude makes is logged on the Activity page in your dashboard with the exact tool, parameters, and timestamp. You can correct any record manually from the dashboard.

Which Claude products work with the Anvaya connector?+

The Anvaya MCP connector works with Claude.ai on the web, the Claude desktop apps, and the Claude API for developers building their own integrations.

I added the connector but Claude says it can't see my wedding.+

Make sure you completed the sign-in flow back through anvaya.love and approved the requested scopes. If you have multiple weddings on your account, the connector picks your primary one — you can change which is primary from the Settings page in your dashboard.

I share planning with my parents and partner. Will the connector use the right role?+

Yes. The connector authenticates as you specifically, with whatever role you have on the wedding (Couple, Family Admin, Family Contributor). Claude can only do what your role permits — for example, only Couple Primary can manage members.
